Description
Welcome to Chapter Two! The humbly sophisticated, elegantly rustic gallery is located in beautiful Corea, a working fishing village on the Schoodic Peninsula of the Maine Coast. Just minutes from the Schoodic District of Acadia National Park, Chapter Two is home to the original design, hand-hooked rugs, and pillows created by Rosemary Levin and inspired by home, family, and nature. Chapter Two also features a wide selection of hand-carved woodblocks and woodblock prints by Dan Miller, renowned for his Corea-inspired land and seascapes, birds, and detailed portraits of writers, musicians, artists, and philosophers with exciting faces and exceptional character.
Additionally, Chapter Two offers fine contemporary art and exceptional craft by over 30 local artists and artisans, including painters, fiber artists, woodworkers, potters, glass artists, jewelers, and folk artists. The gallery also has a carefully curated selection of books by local authors, artful gifts, whimsical treasures, and unexpected surprises to cherish.
The gallery typically opens for the season on the third week of May, from 11 am (sometimes earlier) until at least 5 pm (often later) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, as well as other times by arrangement and chance.
