Music in the Park & Sullivan Daze Bring a Coastal Maine Music Festival to Sullivan in 2026

Sullivan, Maine will come alive with music, food, local flavor, and community spirit this summer as Music in the Park (Wednesdays in July) builds toward Sullivan Daze: A Coastal Maine Music Festival, happening Friday, July 31 (starts at 4 pm) and Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Located at the entrance to the Down East Scenic Byway, Sullivan is a beautiful coastal town where visitors can enjoy the slower pace of Downeast Maine, scenic views of Taunton Bay, and easy access to the Schoodic Peninsula. In 2026, the town’s beloved Wednesday evening Music in the Park series will become part of a larger summer celebration, featuring local and regional musicians throughout July and leading into the two-day Sullivan Daze festival.

Music in the Park takes place at the Sumner Park Gazebo in Sullivan, offering free outdoor concerts in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. These Wednesday evening performances are a favorite summer tradition, bringing residents, visitors, and travelers together for live music, food trucks, and a true small-town Maine atmosphere.

The celebration culminates with Sullivan Daze on July 31 and August 1. Billed as “A Coastal Maine Music Festival,” the 2026 event will feature live music across the weekend, with two bands scheduled for Friday evening and four regional musicians and bands planned for Saturday. The festival is expected to draw hundreds of people from Sullivan, surrounding communities, and visitors traveling along Maine’s scenic Downeast coast.

Beyond the music, Sullivan Daze is a celebration of community and place. Guests can look forward to local craft and food vendors, artist displays, family activities, demonstrations, raffle tents, and plenty of opportunities to explore Sullivan’s coastal heritage. Past and planned highlights include granite sculptors, barn quilters, wool spinners, local seafood, barbecue, oysters, ice pops, and demonstrations connected to the area’s history, working waterfront, and natural resources.

Saturday’s festivities also bring the whole town together with a 5K race and breakfast, a fire department boot drive and grill, local vendors, and a fireworks display over Taunton Bay to close out the celebration.
